Employment: K-5 Visual Arts Teacher, American Community Schools - Athens Instructs international students in play and experiment-based visual arts learning across varied mediums and through a exploratory approach. Education Assistant, OSU Urban Arts Space: Started September 2014 Plans and executes lessons based on contemporary art showings in the gallery space. Lessons and programs target learners of all ages and abilities. Creative Themes Day Camp: summers 2010-2014 Assistant Arts Director and general counselor in charge of groups of children ages 3-12; planning and instruction of art and nature-based lessons for campers. 

Volunteer/Community Art Education: Kappa Phi Kappa, Professional Fraternity for Future Teachers President (2014-Present) Historian (2013) Organizes events, guest speakers and service activities. Corresponds with members and community leaders to create a stronger connection between the university and Columbus area educators. Created the current website for the organization and documented events through photography and social media. Girls Rock Columbus - Volunteer Counselor, 2016-2017 Planned and facilitated activities for girls, trans and gender-nonconforming campers that engaged in informal ways of seeing, thinking and creating art and music. National Art Education Association Member – Ohio State Chapter, Spring 2014-Present Assisted in planning and executing fundraisers and community events to support the group’s participation in regional and national conferences Mill Run Nursing Home Arts Facilitator – April 2015 – Present Led groups of residents in arts and creative based projects catered to skill levels and interests. Medicine and the Arts - Educator, Wexner Medical Center, April 2015-Present Led groups of doctors and medical students in therapeutic crafts and artistic dialogue Project MORE Mentor/Reading Coach – February 2015-May 2015 Tutored an English Language Learning fourth grade student in reading comprehension 

Abroad Experiences: Exploring Jamaican Arts and Culture – June 2015 In partnership with the Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica, I focused on arts and cultural practices in schools, colleges, museums and cultural institutions in Jamaica. Meeting with local artists, ambassadors, educators and students, I explored and analyzed policies, practices, content and pedagogies of the arts in Jamaica in comparison and contrast with our understandings of such in the United States. Africa and the Diaspora; Southern Africa: Culture, Society and History – Summer 2014 Through lectures, excursions, projects and a variety of field experiences in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia, including meeting with educators, artists and community organizers, I explored the cultural and historical importance that have played a significant role in the history and politics of their time and reflect the general social context of life in Southern Africa.
